DESCRIPTION
In this course you will plan and weave a wool tapestry using weft resist dye techniques. Workshop participants will learn about different resist ties during a sample presentation and spend some time designing their own tapestry. Each participant will then learn how to tie their wool skeins and tie enough skeins for their tapestry. The yarn will be dyed off-site and the participants will return to use their wool to weave a tapestry, and learn how to finish the fringe.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Pencil crayons for the design for all three courses.
GOOD TO KNOW
- A kitchenette is at your disposal (fridge, microwave oven)
- The workshop will be held in both french and english

Due to the limited number of participants per workshop, we are unable to offer refunds. However, if you are unable to attend the session, you may transfer your place to another person. Any classes cancelled by us due to low registration or health mandates will have the option for a refund or transfer to future date.
ABOUT SANDY
Sandy Lamb is a textile artist living and working in Montreal. With 15 years of experience weaving, he has been producing art and functional objects under the label Haut Beau since 2015. His work has been exhibited in Canada and the United States. His main areas of interest within textiles is weft faced weaving and dyeing.
