PROJECT

Personalize your textiles with your own print!

Immerse yourself in the creative and sensory world of linocut through a 6-hours workshop. Step by step, you’ll discover all the steps of this traditional printing technique: from designing the pattern to printing it on fabric, including carving the linoleum and inking.

Linocut is a relief printmaking method that involves carving into a linoleum block to leave only the areas intended for printing. Once inked with a roller, these raised surfaces are pressed onto fabric using simple tools like a spoon, a baren, or a press, revealing your personalized design.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your printed creations and a solid foundation to continue this craft at home. No prior experience is necessary—just a desire to explore an original and accessible handmade technique!

The linocut project will be done on a reusable tote bag or storage pouch. To make the experience even more personal, you’re also welcome to bring your own cotton or linen items (shirt, bag, etc.) to customize during the workshop.

ABOUT KATARINA

Katarina is a multi-talented artist who has skillfully navigated the worlds of illustration, photography, and graphic design for the past 26 years. Her daily life usually unfolds behind a screen or through the lens of a camera. However, drawn to the texture of paper and the desire to reconnect with a more authentic practice, she developed a passion for linocut. This artisanal process, which demands focus, precision, and calm, has brought a new dimension to her artistic journey. Today, her work goes beyond the digital realm, exploring the tactile richness of linocut and blending the virtual world with traditional art.
