This natural weaving yarn made of 60% organic cotton and 40% hemp is simply ideal. Suitable for warp or weft. The cotton brings softness to the blend and the hemp brings durability.

Use this organic cotton and hemp blend to weave baby blankets, towels, scarves and clothing. Dyes beautifully. Spun in Quebec.

Organic cotton is produced and certified according to the standards of organic agriculture. Organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers, which damage the soil, ecosystems and are harmful to humans. These farming methods improve the lives of cotton farmers and make their working environment healthier.

Hemp has a low environmental impact. The plant does not require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore does not require treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in a few months), weeds have no chance, do not hinder the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are no longer necessary. It offers biodegradable textiles as well as the most resistant fabrics, more than linen, which makes its use ideal for clothing. Hemp fabric offers insulating, hypoallergenic, UV resistant and antibacterial properties.
