The goal of this workshop is to weave a band on an inkle loom, which will then be used to make a keychain.INSTRUCTOR

- Overview of the origins of band weaving
- The loom, tools, and materials used
- Making weaving needles
- How to warp the inkle loom
- Understanding and following a pattern
- How to start and finish a band
- Techniques for neat selvedges and consistent beating
SKILLS REQUIRED
No previous experience required

Handout booklet. All equipment, yarns and materials for the project are included
LANGUAGE
The course is offered in French, but assistance is available for English speakers.

A kitchenette is at your disposal (fridge, microwave and unlimited coffee). Prior to the workshop date, students will receive a reminder with full workshop details.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the small class size, we are unable to offer refunds for workshops. However, if you are no longer able to attend, your registration is fully transferable at no extra cost — just let us know in advance.
If we must cancel a workshop (due to low enrollment or other circumstances), you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule for a later date.
ABOUT SONIA
A graduate in Visual and Media Arts, Sonia teaches visual arts at the secondary level while also pursuing her own creative practice.
Her interest in textile art began about ten years ago, initially through knitting, and gradually expanded to fiber dyeing, weaving, and finally sewing.
Driven by a deep passion for creation and materials, she founded SirkaCreation, a brand that brings together her various handcrafted textile pieces.
